Baudoin & Lange designs and manufactures luxurious modern footwear.
Originating from the world of English and French bespoke shoemaking, we are driven by a passion for craft and elegance, aiming to raise the level of comfort and quality in modern shoes.
Our first product is an unlined, soft lambskin loafer that wraps around your feet like a glove - the Sagan.
The old meets the new.
At Baudoin & Lange two generations of craftsmen collide with a common passion for handmade shoemaking.
Knowledge is handed over from one generation to the next, carrying history and substance. In exchange, a promise to respect, transmit and revive the craft that binds them together.
Leather is wrapped around wooden lasts, insoles carefully sliced by hand, and structure kept together with the aid of antique instruments.
Traditional shoemaking techniques are combined to the newest technology-driven processes to bring out the best of old and new.
Baudoin & Lange was founded in 2016 by Allan Baudoin and Bo van Langeveld. The brand was rapidly recognised for the impeccable style and uttermost quality of their handmade shoes, and caught the praise of the sartorial world revolving around London's Savile Row.
Allan Baudoin, a computer scientist and Apple alumni turned self-trained bespoke shoe maker, designed and handcrafted the first Sagan in 2014 as his own atelier shoes (n.b. these) - hundreds of prototypes and two years of development later, the Sagan was born - instantly conquering the connoisseurs regulars of "the Row" with their supreme comfort, fit for a modern lifestyle.
When he and Bo van Langeveld, an ex-racing driver turned financier who was tired of suffering in his obligatory formal office shoes, met - they together developed the idea of a modern shoe brand that would combine the best of both worlds : comfort and style.
By means of excellent, traditional craftsmanship we manufacture exceptionally comfortable footwear, both elegant in style and luxurious in feel. Designed in our ateliers, with a personal touch on every shoe.
